BEST UNIVERSITY IN THE USA FOR BUSINESS DEPARTMENTS

That means a globally recognized degree from a renowned university that opens doors for you. The United States remains a popular destination for international students pursuing business degrees, including the coveted MBA. We turned our attention to research by leading American universities on this topic.
For our list of the best universities for business degrees and best business schools in the United States, we used three main rankings. These are QS World University Rankings 2021, Times Higher Education Rankings 2021 and USA. World News and Reports.

Harvard University

Harvard University is one of the universities that often tops many rankings and is also considered one of the top institutions for business in the United States. The 2021 QS World University Ranking ranks the university first in the United States and worldwide for the subject. Also, the USA News & World Report ranks Harvard Business School fifth in the United States. Harvard Business School is known for its global appeal and international perspective. In the 2020-2021 academic year, 45% of graduate students on Harvard campus are international students. In the Harvard MBA program, international students from 71 countries represent 37% of all enrolled students. The university also has an extensive alumni network of more than 85,000 graduates, providing students with a network of skills and opportunities. You might even recognize a few names among the school’s alumni, including former US President George W. Bush, entrepreneur Michael Bloomberg, and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.

University of California, Berkeley (UCB)

The university is ranked #7 for business and #2 for its part-time MBA program in the United States by US News & World Report. This ranking is shared by the QS World University Rankings 2021, which ranks business schools in the top 20 in the world. The university offers a wide range of programs including subjects such as accounting; Business; Ethics; finance; Guide; Supply chain management; and international trade, to name a few. UCB’s entrepreneurship program is ranked in the top 5 in the United States.

Yale University

The campus was founded in 1971 at this Ivy League institution. The business programs offered are ranked in the top 10 in the world and #6 in the United States by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021. News & World Report also ranks Yale in the top 10. Students can take programs in a variety of fields and specializations. This includes human resources, finance, consulting and even portfolio management. One of the hallmarks of the university’s MBA program is the use of different materials and variables for analysis, rather than traditional case studies, the school maintains partnerships and exchanges with other institutions around the world including the London School of Economics UK. This global presence is also reflected in the fact that more than 40% of those enrolled in MBA programs are international students.

University of Chicago

Often overshadowed by Ivy League institutions and perhaps lesser known, the University of Chicago is one of the top three business schools in the United States according to the United States. News & World Report and ranks among the top 10 in the world according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021. This prestige is not surprising given that Booth School of Business is ranked number one for part-time MBAs and number two for finance and the best list in the United States for executive MBA programs (US News & World Report). The school is also known as a center for active research and learning in specialty disciplines such as population economics and marketing.

New York University (NYU)

Located in the cosmopolitan city of New York, NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business enjoys a reputation worthy of a school near the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street. Students receive programs in key disciplines such as marketing, e-commerce, accounting, and technology management, to name a few.
